neem is an antiseptic. i used neem twigs sometimes to clean my teeth, it’s very nice
i’m not sure about neem bark in any foods however, … perhaps it will give a slightly minty flavour and antiseptics are used in coking indian food (like tumeric is an antiseptic, flavour, and gives a nice colour)
